exclusive behind the scenes tour of the world-famous Queensway Mersey Tunnel.
Take a look around the first tunnel control room, learn about the inner
workings of the tunnel, watch the huge ventilation fans in action, see the
traffic manoeuvre through the tunnel, find out some in-house tunnel secrets and
get to know why the tunnels have been featured in several Hollywood films.
The tour runs for approximately two hours starting from the
George Dock Building. Tours take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
evenings at 5pm and Saturday mornings at 10am. The tours are suitable for
children age 10 and above.
Note: The tour includes a lot of walking up
and down staircases therefore, it is not suitable for anyone with vision or
